Sale conditions of wood are specified by the regulation of Director – General of the Sate Forests.
Within the framework of the individual sale , the foresters try to meet the fast growing demand, because more and more people use wood in order to heat their houses. Contrary to general opinion, these are not only village people, even though they prevail among recipients. The growth of firewood demand is the result of occurrence of new housing estates built in the suburbs of large agglomerations, where houses are usually equipped in fireplace heating installations.
Firewood is not only the most ecological heat source, but also is much more attractive in respect of relation of price and electric efficiency, rather than cola, oil, gas or electric power.
In recent years, the Sate Forests increased the sale of firewood of one third – up to over 4 million cubic meters annually. Some of customers choose already prepared and cut into pieces wood, the others very willingly obtain it by themselves after arranging all details and fulfilling particular safety conditions, and after paying the fee; that concerns mainly so called "thinnings". Such a raw material is very cheap, that is why many people from village areas profit from such possibility.

Sprzedaż detaliczna
Sprzedaż detaliczna drewna odbywa się dwa razy w tygodniu:
w środę i w piątek - od 7:00 do 9:00 w leśnictwach.
1. Sprzedaż surowca S2, S3, S4, M2 „loco las – droga wywozowa" oraz „na pniu" PKN, prowadzona jest bezpośrednio w leśnictwach.
Surowiec S10, M1 oraz S2 powyżej 10 mp sprzedawany jest za zgodą nadleśnictwa.
2. Surowiec wielkowymiarowy (W) sprzedawany jest wyłącznie w biurze nadleśnictwa. Odbywa się to w następujący sposób:
- nabywca kierowany jest do konkretnego leśnictwa celem obejrzenia i spisania przez leśniczego danych do fakturowania (numer sztuk/i, masy),
- po otrzymaniu w/w danych w biurze nadleśnictwa wystawiony zostanie paragon lub faktura,
- kwotę za zakupiony surowiec uiścić należy w kasie nadleśnictwa lub przelewem na konto
nadleśnictwa przed jego zafakturowaniem,
- po załatwieniu powyższych formalności nabywca może przystąpić do wywozu surowca
własnym transportem (pod nadzorem leśniczego).
3. Wywóz surowca odbywa się na podstawie asygnaty lub faktury wystawionej przez nadleśnictwo.
Oznaczenie skrótów:
S2 - drewno stosowe użytkowe, tzw. papierówka
S3 - żerdzie
S4 - drewno opałowe
S10 - kopalniak
M1 - drobnica tyczkowa
M2 - drobnica gałęziowa
mp - metry przestrzenne
W grudniu w poszczególnych leśnictwach sprzedawane są choinki.
